Sitting down with the Brigade
Masters is a little like trying to cage wild animals during mating season.
Somehow it happened, though. They didn’t sit as much as prowl and loom—massive
doses of testosterone laced with untold carnal potential. Interviewing them
separately would’ve been ideal but—like everything else—this was a group
activity that left no question they were in charge from the beginning.
Part 1
Cara:
*looks
around the immaculate office at The Brigade and runs her hands across the
supple leather seat she’d been placed in* This
is a very nice office. Very…masculine.
*the men grin and remain silent*
Cara:
*swallows*
Congratulations on the latest release.
Why don’t you tell me about it?
Lorenzo: crosses his arms
and smirks. Are you in a hurry to get rid of us, bella? Good things can’t be
rushed. Let us start from the beginning.
Cara: *shifts
uncomfortably in the chair with the startling realization the room had gotten
much warmer* How did you all form the
Pleasure Brigade?
Kade: *leans back in his
leather chair and grins* The ladies inspired us. We’d all been pretty curious
about the BDSM scene but found ourselves drawn to the women who needed more
guidance. There was a need for a more private, personal approach to first-time
experiences.
Lance: *shrugs* It was
the girls. We wanted them. It made sense.
Cara: So the first book, Passion Next Door takes
place in New York City. What were you all doing there?
Kade: Brigade Financial
business brought me there one a month, which was why I had the place next to
Autumn’s. *grins* But you already know
all about what happened with that situation.
Lorenzo: *shakes his head*
I suspect that having Autumn next door had more to do with you going there once
a month than business. We have video conferencing, after all.
Kade *smirks* Perhaps.
Cara: *nods* What inspired you to invite the other guys
to share your night with Autumn?
Kade: I wanted my
experience with her to be different than what I’d been sharing with the women
she’d listened in on. I wanted her to know she was different.
Lance: You were scared
shitless that she meant too damn much—even before you’d had a night with her.
Stryker: *groans* I really
don’t want to think about the fact I missed out on that trip. And if Chase was
here he’d have something to say about this. He still talks about that night.
Kade: *growls* He has no
business thinking about that night.
The men all chuckle at Kade, who
crosses his arms.
Cara:
What one thing do you remember most about that night and Autumn?
*the
men chuckle and I stammer* You know what I mean.
Kade:
Her
willingness to trust me and surrender fully to her desires. To mine.
Lorenzo:
Her
openness.
Lance:
*grins*
There’d be a fight if I answered that.
*Kade glares at him*
Cara:
Quite a few readers asked why you didn’t pursue something more at that point.
If she meant so much to you, why did you leave it up in the air like that?
Kade:
I
was a fool.
Lance: Fuck yeah you
were. Thank goodness Chase concocted that hair-brain scheme to get Autumn here
in The Brigade.
Kade: So he’s the one
who needs his ass kicked.
Stryker: You really gonna
go there and pretend you’d want to now, man? *stands to full attention and
looks over at Kade* I’m afraid I’ll have to call bullshit on that and I don’t
think the pretty lady here came to see that.
Kade: Point made.
Stryker: *leans back
against the wall*
Cara:
This seems like a great time for a break. *fans self*
Kade:
All
this talk has me wanting to go find someone. If you’ll excuse me. *Kade leaves
abruptly* The other guys chuckle and follow suit.
